Librilla claims budget allocation for its most urgent needs (19/09/2017)

The mayor of Librilla, Maria del Mar Hernández Porras, today met with the president of the Regional Assembly of Murcia, Rosa Peñalver, before meeting separately with the Parliamentary Groups to transfer "the most urgent needs of the municipality, which need to be addressed from a regional perspective, with inclusion in the Regional Budgets of 2018.

Among the most important claims of the municipality are a new school and the recovery of emergency night service.

In the first case, the regidor of Librilla says that "we have been more than fourteen years requesting a new school.

Librilla has a single school, where there are no more common spaces, and we have school children in barracks.

We have no teacher's room, no computer, no dining room or library.

Before we had no land for the construction of a new center, now we have two to choose.

What we need is for the budgetary provision to be implemented, which did appear in the 2016 budgets, but was not implemented.

We want an educational center in optimal conditions of security so that the students can go to class with tranquility ".

As for emergency night service, the mayor added that "it was suppressed six years ago.

The service is valued at 120,000 euros, an amount that is not comparable to the problems it causes in our population, mostly elderly people, living alone, and who have serious difficulties to move to the nearest center in Alhama de Murcia " .
