Citizens request in the Congress the cleaning of the rambla of Librilla and the installation of acoustic barriers in the Autovía del Mediterráneo as it passes through the municipality (26/11/2017)

â— The training asks the Government and the CHS to act to stop the discharges of sewage into the riverbed and to promote the measures that already in 2012 considered necessary to eliminate the problem of noise along the highway

â— "They are just claims, and for us there are no large or small municipalities, only citizens who demand better services with all the right in the world," says deputy orange José Luis Martínez

Citizens has taken to the Congress of Deputies two major problems that beset the municipality of Librilla: the situation of its boulevard and the noise derived from the traffic of the A7 as it passes through the municipality.

The deputy José Luis Martínez, who visited the town recently, has asked the Government and the CHS for an urgent cleaning of the channel of the ravine of Librilla and actions to stop the spills of sewage that contaminate it.

At the same time, Martínez has asked Fomento to comply with the commitment to install acoustic barriers and anti-noise screens in the three-kilometer section of the A7 Mediterranean Motorway that runs alongside the town center.

"They are fair and common sense claims of a municipality that the big parties have kept in oblivion for many years," Martinez explained, "but for Citizens there are no large or small municipalities, nor neighbors of the first or second: only there are citizens who demand better services and, in this case, to which they have all the rights of the world. "

In the case of the Rambla de Librilla or Orón, it is a channel that divides the municipality in two before reaching the Guadalentín.

It has a great landscape value, "however, as it passes through the municipality is completely abandoned, full of dirt and debris, even receiving discharges of sewage, as we could see firsthand in our visit," said Martinez, who has asked the Government and the CHS if they have planned actions in the short term to improve it.

On the noises that support the neighbors closest to the layout of the highway, Martinez stressed that the Ministry of Development "already described in 2012 these three kilometers next to the urban area as 'conflict zone' and suggested a solution to the installation of barriers acoustic, so we do not understand that the only measure adopted so far has been to reduce with little success the speed in that route at 80 kilometers per hour ".

"The neighbors have raised their protest several times, as well as the Consistory itself and have only obtained excuses or silence," said the orange deputy: "Now we want answers and to clearly state if there is an Action Plan against Noise that Fomento speaks and if in the same actions are contemplated for Librilla and its neighbors ".
