Following the collision, on September 4, of a special transport vehicle with the overpass that serves as a connection between the population of Librilla and the right bank of said municipality, at PK 592 + 930 of the right road of the A-7 motorway, in the municipality of Librilla (Murcia), the Ministry of Development will carry out the repair works of the overpass board.
The overpass presents a typology of a ribbed bridge, solved by means of three beams with passive armor.
The width of the structure is approximately 14 m and the vertical gauge is 5 m.
In order to carry out the works it is necessary to divert the traffic from the Almería direction road to the Murcia direction road, and for this a new median passage will be executed immediately before the bridge, so that the section affected by the diversion is about 700 m.
The repair of the structure will consist of the cutting and disassembly of the first beam, which is the part of the board most damaged by the collision, and a new prefabricated beams board in double T connected to the existing one will be built, as well as the repair of the two other beams remaining by cleaning and concreting with high-strength mortar.
