The regional coordinator of IU, José Antonio Pujante, today demanded the Prime Minister of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, who acted with "firmness and force" against corruption, and assessed for Librilla "as one" of those in the recent years in this region.
Pujante was speaking after learning that the Court of First Instance and Instruction No. 6 of Murcia has opened a procedure for bribery, graft and negotiations prohibited to public officials, in which five people have been arrested.
Valcarcel said that "he lacked decision to nip this kind of situation," adding that if President Murcia "from the beginning acted strongly against corruption, another dawn."
Also, Pujante said "it is unfortunate that the name of public institutions, such as booklets or municipality of the regional government, have been involved in this murky issue of corruption."
